A lot can change in a year…It was a little over a year ago that I started my old blog, and although it really helped me in the place I was in life then, I just am not that person anymore, so it just didn’t feel right continuing on with that platform. And although I have convinced myself many, many, many times that I don’t have time for this…I find myself and my heart drifting back into the urges of blogging. Of getting my thoughts out of my head and out of all places, onto a public platform. Why? Who the hell knows. It makes me feel better and it’s your entertainment, so why the heck not!
This past year, has been the year of working on my career and taking care of everyone but myself. I have put in the work consistently (not rare for it to be 7 days a week), been a nonstop people pleaser, cooked (when I can), cleaned (sometimes), played toddler games when I didn’t feel like it, maintained a pretty impressive patience level with my almost three-year old that takes a solid 2 minutes to get out an “I, I, I, I, I, I, I want a….”, did my best to always be in a great mood when Tom gets home even when I’ve had a horrible day, rinse and repeat. And you know what, honestly, I’ve neglected my mental health and mammas going to go crazy. lol
So, I have decided to invest in myself.
I paid for my website (this shit isn’t free), put in the time to make my site somewhat appealing to the eye, and am setting aside time to write on my pretty little piece of the universe. I am hoping this is another opportunity to get out of my head, make people laugh, happy, sad, upset, and who knows, maybe even inspired (insert girl with hands up emoji).
To end this post, if you’re wondering how this blog will be different from the last? Well, how about the person writing it. A year ago Adriana cared a little too much about what people thought about what she had to say. But now, I definitely feel more like a take it or leave it type of person…
Maybe it was the blonde hair that gave me that new-found attitude…Some extra courage. (The blonde hair was short-lived btw lol)
Talk to you SOON!
