Are you a, “someday” person? Yea me too…

I have noticed lately there are a lot of things in my life that I have been wanting to do or change but I keep telling myself I am, “waiting for the perfect time.” Like going back to school, taking a vacation, getting my pilot’s license, or even something small like thinking I can’t publish a blog post until have the perfect pictures to go along with it…

But waiting for perfection in every part of your life is a fruitless decision. A thief of productivity. A road block in your life that you quiet frankly, will never pass or get over.

I look back and there are only a hand full of things I have just jumped right into without a second thought. Joining the Military, starting a career in Real Estate, marrying Tom….But lately, I see that I am getting nothing done. I am getting nowhere.

Am I just scared to fail?

Maybe. But mostly, I am just making excuses with the help of that shitty word, “perfect.”

It’s natural for us to want everything in our lives to be perfect. But nothing ever will be. There is never a perfect time to start a family, quit your job, or move to the other side of  the world.

Start getting comfortable with jumping into life with what you have now and fixing things as you go. Obviously don’t be irresponsible, but if you never start, you will never progress in any part of your life…

So stop waiting. Stop saying, “one day.” No more making excuses. Today is the day.

It’s the only day you can be sure of…

“Waiting for the perfect time only means that time already left without you.” – Unknown

  1. Yes! So much truth!! Time to stop waiting and just go for it. Dreams don’t work unless you do honey!!!!! Plus, everything you do is always pretty near perfect in my opinion 😘😘
